  1. After a long time, am finding something sensibly interesting in u'r blog. Blogging has almost become an incessant barking for many. In a way i was happy dat u were not under any compulsion to keep barking. At times, it'z gud to take a break or be sporadic. Without completely losing oneself into oblivion. Datz da trick of living & da mystery of human communication.

  2. Your Blog is eloquently silent without getting into the interpretations of any of the beautiful cartoons. The selection of the cartoons has been carefully done and thoughtfully sequenced, forming a narrative line of its own unique kind. Each cartoon is resounding with a deeper contemplation on the contemporary life of humankind. Except one or two, I relish every cartoon a lot.

I do agree that it is very much important to reinvent the human touch, the physical contact with fellow human beings, the dogs, the plants and all the life that is around one's little personal universe. But I do not agree when someone says to 'quit fooling with the stupid blog and do some real writing'. I feel that this is as vital as any other important writing can be all about. Finally, everything depends on the quality of it.

But I completely disagree with Mr.Chris who suggests that you should take any break like what you've been doing of late. Actually, it is not at all good. There can be no trick and no mystery involved in such breaks. Human life is too short for there is so much to say. I am very sure that there are lots of things for you to communicate. Hope you would not continue to take such ill-advised and unwarranted breaks, and instead, care to share.

  3. I personally feel that blog has been a revelation for people who have a lot to say in fact write and often choked by a heady hard-to-find-a-publishing-firm. Publishing something in the form of a book is nightmarish for many as it involves convoluted procedures and a lot of haggling. Blogs on the other hand accepts anything whether that is worthy for publication or not. However there is a lot of fine stuff finds its birth on blogs.

  5. Going by the monthly average of the blogs, I used to think that Satya's blog is akin to a flower which blooms in spring. (Maximum blogs were in Feb/March and April this year dropping exponentially afterwards.) Now it appears that the blog is going to be one of those rare palm trees which flowers only once in its 100 year lifespan.

Whatever it may be, I don't think the blogger ever felt like a pole dancer who dances at the appointed place and hour with certain patrons always amongst the viewers. Infact the blog was always like a peacock dance. Dance only when the nature around also dances. When there was no compulsion to blog, where is the compulsion to quit?

But if you have decided to call it a day, pl. tell us what you are going to do at night!

  6. after all, a koan, a poetry, a tango dance in paris is not something one does everyday. How many times we look at the plants and trees that grow around or the sun that shines daily with a feeling of 'ah! Great!" but surely, we look at orchids blooming or await the blooming of brahmkamal at midnight or a solar eclipse with curiosity. And such bloomings come on their own, unpredictable even to the author, when the muse smiles, the writing does not take time. When the muse muses, the heart fathoms the depths of life and rests.
That is what sathyu does and surely, souls must rest between one life and next.

  7. Good cartoons, I agree with most of them. With the blog, everyone is living in their own virtual world. Real life is somewhat different. Mostly, there is something unpredicted in real life, but I feel it is better, as it has a sense of surprise and thrill always...Kamala.
